IDCEE 2012 LAUNCHED LEARNING CENTER FOR STARTUPS
The Organizing Committee of the International Conference “Investor Day Central and Eastern Europe 2012: Internet Technologies and Innovations” has launched multimedia learning center for potential participants of the Startup competition. Startups can find it in “Startups” section of the official website of the conference (http://idcee.org/startups/materials.htm). Now every IT entrepreneur has an opportunity to find a lot of useful information, e.g. how to pitch, how to prepare slides of project presentation, step-by-step guide of submission process of the startup and much more. It will help startups to present their projects to the investors at IDCEE 2012. The information in Learning Center is regularly updated. “Taking into consideration the results of the past IDCEE conferences, we’ve noticed that a lot of startup teams were not able to properly present their projects, were not able to “sell” the project to investor. That happens because of lack of experience and knowledge in this field. That is why we decided to create a Learning Center, says IDCEE Organizer, Director of TA Venture Fund Viktoriya Tigipko. This is one of the most important elements in success of startup. For instance, our last year conference winners demonstrated great presentation skills, which helped them to be among the leaders.”
By the way, thanks to IDCEE the bronze winner of the Startup alley at IDCEE 2011 virtual voice assistant startup Speaktoit recently raised a round of investment from Intel (Intel Capital), one the VC, who participated in the Conference, while the semifinalist Piano Media got €2 million investment from 3TS, one of the leading private equity VC in Central and Eastern Europe.
The fact that IDCEE is a unique platform for developing of VC industry in the region and chance for many startups to succeed with a great idea was proved again by Investment director of Intel Capital fund, who invested in one of the winners of the startup competition at IDCEE 2011.
“This is my second year attending this event and I found that the quality of startups, speakers, content and attendees improved exponentially. This reflects not only great job that organizers did but it’s also a reflection of the significant improvements that are happening in this region in all areas of venture capital.”
Igor Taber, Investment Director at Intel Capital CIS
