В конце 2012 года, компания Huawei представила второе поколение системы хранения данных OceanStor Dorado2100 G2. Нам стало интересно сравнить её с недавно побывавшей у нас на тестировании Flash СХД IBM FlashSystem 820. Но сначала немного подробнее о Dorado.

Архитектура Dorado2100 G2 целиком построена на твердотельных накопителях SSD и использует усовершенствованную технологию управления кэш-памятью и алгоритмы планирования операций ввода-вывода. Высокая надежность системы обеспечивается за счет резервирования компонентов: источники питания, вентиляторы, контроллеры, интерфейсные модули, SSD и BBU продублированы и позволяют избежать возникновения единичных отказов, а используемые методы балансировки степени износа, восстановление поврежденных блоков и технологии scrubbing позволяют значительно продлить срок службы носителя, обеспечивая среднее время безотказной работы (MTBF) свыше 1200000 часов. Мощность устройства 580Вт позволяет экономить до 90% энергозатрат по сравнению с традиционными дисковыми массивами.

В качестве сфер, где может быть полезна Dorado2100 G2, называются работа с базами данных, ERP-системы и «облачные» сервисы.

Теперь я хотел бы уделить несколько слов средствам управления данной СХД. Основным инструментом настройки является OceanStor ISM, написанный на Java и, соответственно, кросплатформенный. Да, это не привычный веб-интерфейс, это не так удобно, но тем не менее вполне работоспособно. Собственно ничего необычного там нет, всё достаточно стандартно — настройка контроллеров, дисков, Lun`ов и т.д. Всё, что необходимо для подготовки к работе СХД.

Ну и естественно там имеются простые средства для мониторинга нагрузки системы. Вторым же средством управления, является консоль UltraPath, которая позволяет немного «тюнинговать» работу системы. Подробнее о возможностях UltraPath можно прочитать на сайте Huawei.

Вспоминая наша недавнее тестирование Huawei Tecal ES3000 мы достаточно многого ожидали от китайского производителя, что же получилось на практике — покажут наши тесты, к которым мы и переходим.

Конфигурация тестового стенда:

  • Платформа — IBM X3650 M4
  • Процессор — Xeon E2603
  • Память — 8 Гб
  • Жесткие диски — 3xSAS 146Гб 10k

Тестирование СХД мы проводили при помощи нашего стандартного набора тестовых пакетов, которые мы уже неоднократно использовали в наших статьях.

Здесь мы проводили 2 тестирования: первое тестирование было с использованием Multipath, а второе при помощи UltraPath, которую предлагает использовать сама Huawei. При тестировании в Windows мы привели результат только с использование UltraPath, ввиду того, что результаты тестов при использовании Multipath отличались не более чем статистическая погрешность при тестах.

Как вы можете заметить, на графике нет результатов тестов при iodepth=128, по неизвестной причине, при использовании UltraPath, сервер просто зависал при проходе этого теста.

Что ж, чуда не произошло, хотя мы этого и ждали от данного устройства. Если сравнивать с тем же IBM FlashSystem 820 который у нас был (мне привычнее сравнить с тем, что уже побывало у нас в руках) Dorado2100 G2 проигрывает по многим показателям почти в 2 раза. Если учитывать цену Dorado2100 G2 покупка становится не выгодной (если вы хотите СХД объёмом 10-20Тб), однако, если вам нужно небольшое хранилище объёмом 2,5Тб для малого бизнеса — к покупке Huawei OceanStor Dorado2100 G2 стоит присмотреться внимательнее.

Что касается цены — рекомендованная стоимость модели 2,5Тб составляет $75000. Оформив заказ в течении недели с момента этой публикации и указав ключевое слово — «Компилятор» и получите скидку до 20% (размер скидки будет зависит от общей стоимости вашего заказа).
